Homemade Yogurt in the IP- Video and instructions

When I bought my instant pot , the LAST thing I EVER thought I'd be making in it was yogurt.  Honestly!  But, now I can't get enough and neither can my kids.  It's money saving (HUGE!) and its delicious! I'm really excited at the moment because Instant Pot is having a big sale on many their products on Amazon and I just ordered myself a few items I've had my eye on such as the vortex in all sizes, ranging from 50-58% off depending on size!  I also grabbed the Ace plus blender at 40% off.   IP duo nova is currently 30% off, the duo Evo (sous vide model) is 17% off and the Aura Pro is 33-38% off depending on size! I use the cold start method in my 8qt Instant Pot and the following INGREDIENTS: 1. 1.5 gallons of Fairlife WHOLE milk 2. 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (others use 2, I find 1 works perfectly and not as much sugar) 3. 2-3 Large spoonfuls of yogurt starter (plain greek yogrut) **Optional** add 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla ...

**Cooking with Kaleo** Pot Roast in the Instant Pot (Video included!!!)

I meant to get this video up yesterday, but kids have this incredible way of thwarting your best laid plans.  So, it gets posted today.  On Turkey day.  Which isn't exactly fitting- but that's real life for ya folks.   That being said, many people are cooking their turkeys in the Instant Pot this year- although I'm not (sorry folks). If you're already an instant Pot owner, check out these BLACK FRIDAY DEALS!  And if you don't own one yet, now's the PERFECT time to purchase.  Keep checking back on the Black Friday Link as Amazon adds more products! Kaleo was bright eyed and bushy tailed, with a full on NAP REFUSAL the moment I started to set out my ingredients for this cooking project.  So, today's video features Kaleo- that's right, we'll be cooking with Kaleo.  Maybe he'll become a famous chef someday (or morph into a steamroller that just plows into and rolls over everything!)  Either way, both the 2 littlest kids end up in this v...

Instant Pot Applesauce! (Video included!!)

Prior to my instant pot days, I made applesauce a few times in the crockpot.  While it always turned out well with that method, it was a long cooking process.  Thanks to my sister from another mister Karisa, I've been cooking applesauce in the instant pot for my kids for months and months now. Most importantly (duh) Makoa approves: Squooshi Reusable Pouch The cooking process takes about 30 minutes maximum, and that includes 15-20 minutes to come to pressure and the varying 5-8 minute cook time I use, depending on how many apples I'm cooking. Honestly, the longest process is peeling and coring the apples, but its been much faster lately with my Johnny Apple Peeler !!! and it's on sale!  I read reviews on 6 different peelers before I decided on this one. If you want to know why: 1. Other customer reviews with photos, feedback on ease of use (I always read these before I move on to investigating a product further) 2. A 5 year warranty 3. Stainless steel blade...

I'm in love with the Instant Pot!

I thought I'd just jump right into this blogging thing and really talk about a product I'm MADLY in love with.  So much so, that after I finally got the hang of how the heck this thing works, I purchased a second one.  I'm now the proud owner of both a 6qt instant pot and an 8qt Instant Pot . About a year ago I purchased an Instant Pot , I had no idea how to use it and I'll be honest, this sucker sat in the box for about 6 months.  I was intimidated and scared of it.  God bless my girlfriend who insisted on making a mom's date out of it, and came over to teach my mom and I how to use this fancy pancy thingy. Once I started using it, I simply could not stop. Things to know: 1. There IS a learning curve, but a few uses will render you a PRO! 2. Once you get the hang of it, the cooking for *most* meals is faster 3. The "set it and forget it" feature is priceless with ALL THE CHILDREN, NEEDING ALL THE THINGS which always happens the very MOM...
